Into The Seas
Notes Page

The lyrics for "
Into The Seas" was loosely based on an old children's song, "The Wise Man and the Foolish Man" (taken from the parable of Jesus Christ in Matthew 7:24- 27). Since the musical track was partially inspired by Marilyn Manson's "Coma White" and since there is a deeper meaning of the word "seas" which I mention below, I gave the lyrics a more darker, adult meaning.

The "sea" can be used as a figurative reference to the devil spirit realm. (For examples of this, see
Isaiah 27:1 and Isaiah 57:20). Fear, doubt, and worry are all a part of negative believing and are therefore snares of the devil spirit realm. Fear, doubt, and worry will not give us a solid foundation to live to the fullest for God. They will only take away from you, not help you. On the other hand, trust, faithfulness, and confidence are all a part of positive believing. When we put our trust in God, have confidence in His Word, and are faithful to the promises that are in His Word, we have a solid foundation to build our lives on. The vocals in this song are steady and firm, despite the thunder and lightning that is thrown at the singer. That is a solid rock. We endure depite what the adversary throws at us.

We can't wait for this change from fearfulness to faithfulness to just happen to us. That is not what endurance means. Endurance does not mean to just wait for things to happen; it means to stand fast and persist until you have reached your goal. While we are doing this, all of the fears we used to have will not bother us anymore. As
James 4:7 says, when we resist the devil, he will flee from us.
