The Sliders arrive on a world where time is frozen for everyone but them. They investigate all over the city to find out what happened here and why they aren�t frozen themselves, encountering frozen doubles of several recurring characters from the past in the process.

Eventually, the three of them are able to piece together the clues they�ve found and figure out what happened. Noticing that all the newspapers and calendars indicate that it is still late 1995, Rembrandt recalls the time that Quinn altered the timeline in that world where time ran backwards (in �As Time Goes By,� which took place in late 1995).

Rembrandt realizes that the frozen time on this world might be one of the side effects that Quinn�s actions had on the multiverse. Now that Remmy�s reminded him of it, the Professor remembers those events as well; he and Logan try to figure out if Remmy�s theory is scientifically viable. They decide it is, and congratulate Rembrandt for his memory and brilliant reasoning.

Then, assuming that Remmy�s theory is correct, the Professor and Logan expand upon it by conjecturing that the reason time isn�t frozen for them is that they do not have the quantum signature of this world. Presumably, the temporal disturbance that resulted from Quinn�s actions has a different effect on things, depending on their specific quantum resonance frequency. On this world, it stopped time; who knows what it�s done to the Sliders without their knowing.

With just their uncertain theory to go on, the Sliders work to find a way to restart time for this world. In the end, however, they are unable to do anything and must simply slide out, leaving the world frozen for all eternity.
