The Dynasty had intended to get the Mrs. Mallory who actually had the microdot embedded in her arm to cooperate in their game, so they tracked her down. However, even after numerous abductions (they secretly abducted her at night rather than simply storm in and invade her homeworld because they were trying to conserve resources for the battle to reclaim the Home World), neither she nor any of her doubles would cooperate. But the Dynasty needed Quinn�s-our Quinn�s-genius to unlock the Slidecage. He had the tracking device implanted in him on Earth 113, and he was much more scientifically gifted than the Quinn to whom the microdot actually belonged, and so it was decided that he was the Dynasty�s greatest hope of ever unlocking the Slidecage and reclaiming the Home World. But because they could not get a Mrs. Mallory to cooperate, they were forced to instead use of one of their slaves to get the scenario underway. Mary was the selected slave, and she was chosen because of her willingness to participate in such scenarios in the past. Then, the KroMaggs simply abducted the foster mother one last time, extracted the microdot from her arm, and then placed it in Mary�s. Once the microdot had been extracted, the Dynasty had returned Mrs. Mallory to her home dimension and left without further interruption (again, because they were trying to reserve resources).

Once the plan was set to go, it was a simple matter to re-direct Quinn�s wormhole to the False Earth Prime. Of course, at the time, they didn�t really realize that he thought he was home. They had merely planned to convince him that his earth had been taken over and that his mother had been taken to the prison on this world; the fact that he thought he�d slid home merely lent unexpected credence to the story. It was purely by accident that the plan was three months late in it�s implementation. When the KroMaggs re-directed the detected wormhole to False Earth Prime, a couple things happened that the KroMaggs didn�t count on. First of all, they expected Quinn to be in the re-directed wormhole, but only Wade and Rembrandt actually were. Secondly, when Quinn then tried to track that wormhole, the fact that it had been re-directed threw off his ability to track it, which is what caused him to go sliding randomly for three months before finally being able to get to False Earth Prime. (In other words, the tracking device wasn�t damaged in the fight on Huminal World after all). Luckily for the KroMaggs, the delay only gave them more time to tweak and improve the plan. For instance, it wasn�t until that time that they decided to program Rembrandt to kill Quinn once he�d unlocked the Slidecage.

It was also during that time that they learned that Wade and Rembrandt believed False Earth Prime to be their homeworld. This was a significant discovery because the �Maggs had originally begun tracking the Sliders (after �Invasion�) because they believed that they were from a world where sliding was common and where the humans had a military with sliding capability that would be a threat to the Dynasty�s plans to conquer the multiverse. Now they know that that isn�t the case because had Earth Prime had a sliding army, Wade and Rembrandt would have realized they weren�t home as soon as the Dynasty arrived and that sliding army didn�t begin fighting back. Since Wade and Rembrandt weren�t surprised that this world that they believed to be their home was so easily conquered by the KroMaggs, the �Maggs realized that the real Earth Prime must not be a threat either. In spite of that, however, tracking the Sliders was not a waste of time. It did, after all, allow them to set come up with the idea of tricking Quinn and use him to shut down the Slidecage.

Anyway, shortly after Mary had done her part and successfully convinced Quinn that he was from Home World, she was rewarded with two full days in the Sanctuary on Earth 113. But rather than being grateful to the Dynasty for her reward, Mary had taken the time to escape, which she had never been able to do before because her times in the Sanctuary were so short that she would not have had time to implement any viable escape plan before she was found out. This time, however, she did manage to escape, and when she did so she took with her both some assorted KroMagg technology (including a timer) and her knowledge of some of the inner-workings of the Dynasty. After a short while of enjoying freely sliding, she began to realize that she had to inform the Sliders of the lies they had been told. She managed to covertly learn of what had transpired with the plan since she had left (including the Sliders� overcoming of the Slidecage Agenda), and she set to work developing a plan as to how to make things right again. She had to tell them the truth so that they wouldn�t be wasting time trying to find a home that wasn�t really theirs. Now that she�s done that, she has a clearer conscience, though she still must live with the rest of the treachery she was involved in during her time as a KroMagg slave.

The Sliders offer to take Mary along with them, but she says that she still has other wrongs that she must make right before she can settle down on a nice world and live out the rest of her life in peace. The Sliders thank her for her efforts to make things right with them, not only because she was honest and apologetic, but because even though some of what she told them they already knew, they were grateful that she was able to fill in a few more of the blanks. Mary opens a red vortex with her timer and slides out and on to another mission of redemption. A few minutes later, the Sliders open their own vortex and slide on to another adventure.
