Vaccinating for "everything" {Panleukopenia (Distemper), Calici, Rhinotracheitis, Chlamydia, Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Rabies} can overload a cats immune system, so much so that it will never recover. Vaccination site sarcoma's seem to be related to the FeLV and Rabies. Side effects are becoming more and more common and often immune systems are getting weaker instead of stronger. Conventional vaccinations may help prevent colds and flu's sometimes, but they wreck the immune system to predispose chronic diseases such as deadly FIP and Cancer. FIP increases as fast as the veterinary profession uses vaccinations, and drugs, and reduces the age for spays and neuters. Its the same, case after case with FIP, all the kittens had too many vaccinations. No human gets vaccinated annually just to stuff the bank account of the vaccine manufacture, and the person charging a fortune for vaccinations. *Do you know in USA the vaccine costs the vet about $1.00 each and they charge $15 - $25 each? Ratio's are about the same in Canada. *Do you know that in cats the first vaccination lasts a lifetime provided it is given after the kitten is 3 or 4 months old. Before that time, their immune system is too immature to use it and it just does damage. *Do you know that as with humans - Cats only need a vaccination once for life? *Do you know that vaccinating for the same thing a 2nd time is very damaging to the immune system? *Do you know that vaccinating for more than one thing at a time is extremely damaging? They should be given seperate with a month between each one, to be safe. *Do you know that cats can only make antibodies from a vaccine after they are 3-4 months old, vaccines given earlier than this, just do harm? *Do you know that a vaccination takes at least a month to finish working with the immune system for antibody manfacture, and the cats immune system cannot handle other stresses during that time? If vaccinations were planned using this well known (since the mid 60's) research knowledge, we would not be causing such chemical stress to kittens that they mutate deadly FIP, Cancer, etc. Homeopathic Nosodes: a Better Alternative... A nosode is simply a homeopathic remedy that is made from a dilution of the "disease". Nosodes are not in any way infections, and they are used to prevent viral infections the same way a vaccine is used. Like vaccines, nosodes sensitize the body to a particular virus, so the immune system can react quickly and effectively to natural exposure. Nosodes are at least as effective as vaccines, and in some cases have been shown to be significantly more effective than vaccines in preventing infection. The biggest advantages of nosodes over vaccines is the fact that they are completely safe. There are no risks or side effects whatsoever. And they can be safely given to kittens much earlier than vaccines can. In fact, the mother can be treated before she gives birth, giving the kittens protection from the moment they are born. Kittens can also be given nosodes from the day they are born. Nosodes, like all homeopathic remedies, are very easy to administer. They are given by mouth, and don't even need to be swallowed. They are also very economical - far less expensive, in fact, than vaccinations. _________________________________________ Therapeutic Use of Nosodes Not only do nosodes help prevent diseases, they can also be used to treat the clinical symptoms of a disease if they are given as soon as the first symptom appears. Example: Give the URI nosode the first and every time your cat sneezes, but not sooner than 5 minutes apart. Then 2 or 3 times a day for a few days. They can also be used before, during and after a vaccination, to help prevent adverse effects caused by conventional vaccines. General Protocol for Nosodes Recommended Dosage: a.. One dose, am and pm, for 5 days b.. One dose per week for 4 weeks c.. One dose per month for 4 months d.. Repeat *a* every 6 months until the cat is about 3 years of age. If you have a multi-cat household, bring in new kitties, show your kitties or allow your cats outdoors, repeat *a* every 6 months. Preparing a Remedy for Dosing Tho there are a few ways to dose remedies and nosodes I prefer to make the Aqueous dosing bottles. To do this I add 1 tablet, 3 pellets, 10 grain, or 10 drops (depending on the form purchased) to a small sterlized bottle, filled to 3/4 full with good purified water. Allow the remedy to dissolve, then beat hard against something 100 times to activate - this is called succussing. Never touch a dry remedy with your fingers, and always use a clean syringe or spoon to remove the remedy from the dosing bottle. Best to take remedies an hour before or after eating, smoking, brushing teeth etc if possible. Also keep them away from anything strong smelling such as cleansers, vicks etc. As these could antidote the remedy and prevent them from working. The liquid should look clear, if its cloudy, its contaminated and should be discarded. Label and date your dosing bottle, it will keep in your refridgerator for 6 months. After 6 months, you can make a new bottle, using about 10 - 20 cc from the old bottle - don't forget to redate. Dry remedies never go bad if stored properly, they are good for life. Dosage Amounts The amount needed to cover the tongue is the proper dosing amount. However the amount is not important, taking more than needed to cover the tongue will not make the remedy/nosode more or less effective. Frequency and well matched remedies are important, and thats where we need a trained homeopath to help. Baby kittens - 1 drop older kittens - a few drops Adult cats - 1/2 - 1cc Children - 2 or 3cc Adult people - 5 - 10 cc _____________________________ *Thanks to Simba* A beautiful boy I had to put to sleep due to allergies and IBD caused by vaccinations. Click Simba to read more about his story, and why I choose not to vaccinate. I do not believe in using vaccinations at all as I feel they all do harm without exception. However, I do believe in prevention of diseases which is why I use the URI and Bordetella Nosodes on all my cats/kittens. I do not use the Rabies or FIP/FeLV/FIV nosodes as I'm not at risk for either of these. There is no rabies in Newfoundland, my cats live in my home, they do not roam outside, and nor do I offer stud service. I keep all the nosodes on hand and in the fridge for quick use if needed. In this way I can stop an illness in its track before it gets a chance to take hold. Nosodes can only cure if used in the early stages of a disease, so if a cat sneezes or has a goopy eye, it would be too late for me to order the nosode then, cause by the time it reached me the illness would be set in. Once the disease has set in, each cat may respond to it differently, and the symptoms will no longer be the typical initial set of symptoms for which the nosode is designed. Point is if you have the nosodes handy then chances are you will stop the illness in its track, and if you hesitate to use the nosode, then you are giving the illness a chance to set in, and also change the symptoms so the nosode will not be a good match any longer. An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. BTW, according to all the trials held so far, nosodes work better than vaccinations for prevention of all diseases. I'm a responsible breeder, I've done my homework and I keep all nosodes on hand, ready to be used if needed. Plus, if I'm forced by law to use a vaccination for a cat/kitten leaving here, the kitten would be at least 8 months old, and I would use the nosodes twice a day for 3 days before, the day of vaccination, and 3 days after, to prevent/minimize any adverse effects/reactions caused by the conventional vaccination. I also send nosodes to the kittens new owner so they can have them on hand for future use. Its not easy to find a kitten that has not been damaged by vaccines. Most breeders still think that vaccines are a good thing, inspite of all the info that can now be found on the internet about the dangers of conventional vaccinations. Even the veterinarians have finally changed their protocol for vaccinations from 1 - 3 years. Also, some breeders think nothing of giving antibiotics for *prevention* to every kitten at birth. Antibiotics don't prevent anything as any doctor or vet can tell you, except good health. Doctors or vets do not use antibiotics for prevention of anything, as antibiotics are not designed to prevent they are designed to kill bacteria, including good bacteria. If you want an unvaccinated kitten, you will need to contact the breeder and ask them not to vaccinate the kitten you wish to purchase. You will need to do this early while the kitten is still too young to vaccinate, and chances are an ethical breeder will want you to sign a waiver that you absolve them from their usual health guarantee. I do the opposite, I gurarantee good health at time of transfer, plus continued support and advice for the life of my kittens, as long as they do not vaccinate or use harsh drugs such as: *steriods, some antibiotics, dewormers, parasite drugs, fungus drugs, etc without my knowledge and consent, and as long as they use the nosodes I provide as instructed by my homeopath, keep in touch any time there is a health issue and report on kitty health annually. *Steriods = Cortisone, hydrocortisone, prednisone, dexamethosone, etc. The annual report is also useful to me as a breeder so I can keep track of the health of the cats I breed, and can know the lines I breed from are healthy. Hopefully the above will help you understand what a nosode is and why we use them instead of conventional vaccinations for all our cats/kittens, here at the I'am Alone Cattery. |
