This device, the Josh-Ensign (also spelled Ensigne), is mounted on nearly every aspect of Joshland, including the flag, several parts of the website, and even on The Josh himself. Even so, a direct explanation of the origins and meaning of this emblim is required to understand its value and impact on the Kingdom. It all began on May 28, 2005, three months before Joshland's foundation. The Summer of the Josh was about to commence, and the Joshish ones needed someone to emulate, someone who represented the concept of Joshish as a whole. The one they picked was Josh Birnbaum, a character played by the child actor Shaun Weiss on the movie Heavyweights. |
