Imprudence and I when I was about five years old. |

This page is a tribute to my dog Imprudence who died on May 20th, 2003. I have had her since I was three which is about ten years. She died from being bitten by a black lab named Sabbath while actually at the vet's for another problem. This wound had to be cleaned and fixed up and so she was put under for the surgery. She came out of that ok dispite her heart murmur. But, last night, on the 20th of May at about twelve at night, we got a call from the emergency vet clinic telling us that she was dieing and that we should hurry and get down there. Well... normally that would have been an easy task. But, somehow we got locked out of our only car, (our other was in the shop), while the car was still running. But finally, thanks to the local poliece department, we got into our car... just after the vet called again and told us that she had tried to die twice already and asking if we would give permission for them to let her just die. (Her lung had collapsed and she couldn't breathe easily). By the time we got there, it was one thirty in the morning and she was wrapped up in a blanket ready to be buried. Now, I have never cried when any person has died but when my dog who used to sleep in my bed since I was five did die... I couldn't stop crying. mabye its just because for some reason I feel more strongly for animals than people. I guess I'll never know. But, I hope that you will also wish that she's happy. I know I do. |
