A poem that Chavon wrote for Madison.
Dear Madison,
We wanted so much to keep you that we thought
getting pregnant would help. Instead this
pregnancy has left us torn. So many things are
becoming clear lately. Slowly, very slowly, your
death is becoming a reality. We loved you and still
do... so much we just couldn't face your not being
with us. But you are gone, and we will survive, as
will your memory.
we are forced now, more than before, to say
goodbye. Your book is complete, our love. Life,
Birth, Death. For you it was very quick...too
quick. It is goodbye for now. Only for now we say,
"Goodbye, my child."
With all our love,
Your mother and father
