And when Kylan is treated with suspicion from just about everyone and everywhere around him, it's enough to make him wonder just what exactly is important enough about the lifebond that makes him want to stay... Third in Trilogy: 3. Assassin's Voice/(Nature?): Losing three of his best friends/mentors was perhaps the worst event of Faris' life. Without someone to look after him (no matter how much they pretended they weren't), Faris is shy, awkward and timid - not ideal material for an assassin. Miserable with the way his life is going, he sneaks into the Palace/Collegium one day to visit his former friends, and gets noticed by a Bardic trainee... who was looking for just the right sort of person. But when Faris is so timid, could it really be him the trainee needs?
