| 1/25/05 this is entry number one! ok, so i guess one thing that really bothers me is the way people treat education. i know, shine my nerd badge, but i'm sorry. why the hell do you go to school if you're not even going to try? so many people are only in college because they want a good job, because they want money. or because mom and dad are loaded and send off their little dipshit to drink and do it to everyone on campus. what ever happened to wanting to better yourself, or improve the quality of your mind? college is a great place to do that. it just upsets me to see people who are so privleged wasting the chance they have to become enlightened or really educated. of course, this is most likely why i want to be a professor, but still... it's just not a concept i understand, i guess. it seems like laziness has taken over and no one wants to do any more than they have to, to make money and not have to work as hard. |
