my cats!

My first cat was Tiger. Tiger was such a sweet loving cat. He was more of the family cat even though he was a gift for me. I went to the local ASPCA and picked him out of his brothers. Tiger loved to be brushed and to be outside. But we would only take him out under our supervision. Unfortunately Tiger died while I was working at Cedar Point in 1998. I was very upset by this since I was unable to be there.
My parents replaced Tiger with 2 new kittens about a month later. A gray and white tabby named George. And a shy calico named Gracie. I didn't pick these guys out or name them, my Mom did. I do have to admit they are some of the cutest kittens I have ever seen, and the funniest. When George was a kitten he looked like he had swallowed a rock. He had a hard really big belly. Gracie is a very prissy kitten. I call her princess Gracie. She has this very regal air about her. These 2 love to play and romp about the house. You would think that they are a herd of elephants.
Well, I found my baby kitty while I was baby-sitting during the winter or 1998. I was inside watching TV and thought I heard a tiny meow. Well, I looked outside and found this small tan and black tabby cat. I brought it inside and placed it in the only thing I could find, a large bucket with a hole in the top. I tried to call my house but the phone was busy. So I had someone come and stay at the house while I took the kitten home. She was the cutest thing. My Mom and I thought she was 4 months old, but when we took her to the vet we found out she was 8 months old. So my Mom took the cat in and gave her food and a blanket and we put her in the basement. When I got home from work, I went to go play with the kitten. My Mom told me not to get attached to it, but I couldn't help it. I thought about what to name her and came up with Loki. I got the name from the Jim Carrey movie "The Mask." In the movie the mask was possessed by the spirit of Loki the Norse God of mischief. And so, since I love Jim Carrey, I named my cat Loki. Her full name is Loki Lou. I tried to make is sound a bit femine.
Loki is my baby and I love her to death. She is always there for me when I am sick or unhappy. She always sleeps with me and is very protective. She loves to talk and sing. I'm serious, she is always meowing. So I joke that she sings. I love my little Loki Lou.
