My best friend Doug's mom, Geri was getting married to Tom on July 3rd of 2002. I have been a good friend of the family for a while now and offered any help that I could. Well, now I wish I didn't. No, I am just joking.

I was asked to actually be in her wedding as the "keeper of the royal train." Basically I made sure that the dress train was not getting messed up. I walked behind her down the aisle and when she turned I straightened the train. She looked absolutely beautiful. The reception was on the Nautica Queen boat that goes around Cleveland on Lake Erie.

My date for the wedding was Doug's older brother, Rob. We had to dance in the wedding party dance, which he wanted nothing to do with. But I dragged him out there a couple more times.

During the reception I sang "From this Moment" by Shania Twain. Geri was touched that I did that for her and Tom.

At the end of the night, once we were all off the boat. She went on the top deck and threw the bouquet. I was so happy when I caught it.
