Remember Me and My Lullabye
She lays there hurt and bleeding
Wrists cut by the ropes
Her eyes are blurry and filled with tears
Lost sight of all hope
As her head pounds with pain
She listens to her parents fight
The screams and sobs of her mother
Echo through the night
She lays there and she wonders
What her dad is going to do
And so she sings a lullabye
A cheerful little tune

"Here we go together
Circling round and round
All of us together
Living here in town
Now we're picking flowers
Circling round and round
We will always be together
Living here in town"

Then she hears a noise
She knows what it could be
The screaming and the yelling stops-
She lays there quietly
A few days pass or more
And no more noises are heard
Until one day a stranger's voice
Comes to her, muffled and blurred
The bondage from the ropes is gone
And as they carry her out
She sees the blood stains on the floor
And knows what the silence was about
She hears the friendly voices
Of the people she doesn't know
And as the ambulance takes her away
She hums a tune, soft and low

"Here we go together
Circling round and round
All of us together
Living here in town
Now we're picking flowers
Circling round and round
We will always be together
Living here in town"

Every year she visits the grave
The place her mother lies
And she loves her much, much more
Than the father she despised
So now the years go by and by
She lives a happy life
And now the time has come for her
The time for her to die
Her daughter kneels beside her
She tells her not to cry
"Please, just remember me
And don't forget our lullabye"

"Here we go together
Circling round and round
All of us together
Living here in town

Now we're picking flowers
Circling round and round
We will always be together
Living here in town"
