I Wish to Hear
A man walked down the street one day
Just like he always did
He waved at those who passed his way
No words were spoken or said
The light shone bright upon his face
His smile was like none other
And as he stared off into space
He ran across his mother

No words were spoken or said
They did not move their mouths
The only thing they did was motion
But knew what each was about
Farther again he walked
Saw a bird land on a post
It made no sound, but the bird did talk
These things he missed the most

He walked into a grocery store
To buy a thing or two
He payed the cler, no less no more
And then he bid A'due
One his way home that night
He passed someone he never knew
They stopped underneath a lamp post light
And their friendship grew

They were each very difficult to understand at first
Growing short was the day
But neither of them feared the worst
For each new what to say
And before they both departed
His friend said very clear
"What do you wish for yourself?"
He answered, "I wish to hear"
