| He Sent His Son |
| A star shone brightly in the sky Its rays went through the night so blue To show the birth of one And the world knew He sent His son As young as He was He had miracles to do There was nothing that went undone The people knew He sent His son The day growing short with no catch of fish The deciples' weariness grew A lone man stood, said "Cast your nets towards the sun" They rejoiced for their feast and they knew He sent His son The pressure of the world he takes upon him As the wind in His hair flew Blood poors from Him to the floor of the Garden "Can you not take this cup from me?" But Christ knew "I understand Father, you sent your son" And as Christ hung upon his cross The thorns and nails had gone right through His last words,"Father take my soul, Thy work is done" The earth shook and thunder rolled-Jerusalem knew He sent His son Christ died for us and for our sins And our testimonies are sure to grow As we strive to be just like His son And fulfill His plan, the world knows He sent His son |
