Introduction

Scientific claims cannot be considered as valid if they are not validated by experimental results. In the previous chapters, there have been expressed several such suggestions, some of which will be proven by the experiments conducted as described in this chapter.

In this area of research, the most popular and time-efficient way of obtaining results on new technologies is software simulation. The reliability of these results relies heavily on the simulation model chosen. Even with careful modelling, it is essential to test the designed schemes before deployment in practical conditions, as the involved systems are very complex, and occasionally exhibit unexpected behaviour. Of course, these final tests are not in the scope of this document.

In the following paragraphs the simulation parameters are described, then the results are presented in tables, charts and sample images, as required. These results are usually comparative and are accompanied by comments where it was considered appropriate. Last, a discussion section is concluding the chapter.
