So I waited in line for an hour and a half and stupid people cut a lot of us. Not cool. But I was up front row. Moneen was good. They almost hit us a bunch of times though and I got a lot of their sweat all over me. How nice.
Rufio was good. They started with In My Eyes, I believe. I couldn't hear a thing Scott was singing. Then played Dipshit and halfway through, the power just like goes out. It was not cool but they just finished the song once it started working again. They also played Tears. I know they played Still somewhere in that order too...They played a cover of Madonna's Like A Prayer and it was cool. They finished with Above Me and it was great.
Brand New was next. Amazing again as well. They may have started with Shower Scene but I don't remember too well. I know they played Jude Law and A Semester Abroad and Failure By Design then Jesse came and played Soco Amaretto Lime while the rest of the band sat down. It was so funny cause Vin(the guitarist) was giving Jesse the finger and making fun of him while he was sitting behind him. They also played Logan To Government Center, Mix Tape and Last Chance To Lose Your Keys. I was getting a lot of sweat thrown on me too. It was nice. They finished with Seventy Times Seven and it was great...and if my memory serves me right, I think they called it There's No 'I' In Team Hmmmmm...I dunno. I loved their set. Vin like died halfway through. Finally, Taking Back Sunday!!!I had no clue that they were getting that big. I mean, last time I saw them, me and like four other kids were the only ones singing along and not too many people knew who they were. Everyone tonite was singing along. It's cool though, I'm happy that they are doing very well. So, Adam gave me his drink to hold. It smelled really bad. Anywho, Taking Back Sunday was simply amazing. I was being smushed and my leg was dying from being pushed into the stage so I decided to sit on the stage. People kept leaning on me and sitting on my feet. It hurt. SO...they started with You Know How I Do and everyone went nuts. Adam was telling everyone about how he had to go get a root canal done this morning or something like that because some kid kicked his foot up while he was swinging his mic and it hit him in the mouth. He also said he hit the John with his mic. Then I think they played Bike Scene and then Cute Without The 'E' (Cut From The Team). I think that's the right order. I'm not too sure about the rest though. I know they played You're So Last Summer, The Blue Channel, Great Romances Of The 20th Century, Timberwolves At New Jersey, Ghost Man On Third. Their last song was There's No 'I' In Team. It was awesome. Adam was letting like everyone sing into his mic. It's so much easier there to let kids sing cause last time, he had to climb off the stage to let us sing in it. He let me sing in it twice. Very cool.
So after the show, I went outside we went and I saw Adam. I went over to talk to him. I gave him an old picture I took of him and he was like "Oh I was like 8 pounds lighter in this pic and I didn't have a double chin" Hahaha. Then we talked and I asked about Midtown and he said they are coming back and he is excited cause he likes Recover. And then he said I was cute or something weird. He gave me a high five when I told him I was at their last show here. He sounded suprised. Then I asked if he knew this thing called Music Choice and then some guy said something that got everyone laughing. Anywho, he had no idea about the Taking Back Sunday stuff I won and the bike. He gave me another high five when I told him I won the bike and a lot of their stuff. Then Brian, the Brand New drummer came out and started talking to me with Adam. Then I asked if I could get a picture with both of them and Adam grabbed me and Brian. But his head didn't get in the pic cause he was holding me in front of him with his arm around me and Brian. So I got another one with him. He is such a nice guy. Amazing show.
