Amy, and Sam picked me up at around 2pm. We then proceeded to pike up Mike M., and fauvel around by getting cameras at WalMart (I'm a lion. I'm king of the jungle. ROAR.) and eating at Wendy's. Then we picked up Sammie's brother and headed to Worcester.
While standing in line, we see fl0yd down by TBS' tour bus. We go down and give him the Never Ending pancake sign. fl0yd is totally my hero. He's so, so, so nice. Seriously, if you're a big TBS fan you NEED to give fl0yd props every time you go see them. He works really hard and is under appreciated. But yeah. We talked to fl0yd for a little while and it was good.
A little after we saw fl0yd, Eddie was spotted smoking a cigarette outside. We decide to go down and give him his chips and chat it up for a while. That didn't go as planned because Eddie basically grabbed his chips and said he had to go in for sound check. Grr. And THEN! to add on to that MIKE LEFT THE LINE. That bastard!!
There was just basic fauveling for the rest of the time in line. Jen and Kyle showed up and it was good to see them<3
The doors were opened and there was a mad effin' rush for the floor, as ALWAYS. I hate you Palladium!!! I got the barrier and proceeded to rock out to Iron Maiden until Breaking Pangaea was taking the stage.
Breaking Pangaea was really good. Better than I expected them to be. In fact. They were AWESOME!! Fred rocks out nicely. He should be Jeff from The Exit's older brother/soul mate. I got to enjoy BP to the full effect because there wasn't really any pushing and that's always great.
Recover. They were ok. I don't know. I really didn't get into their set. But Mike Laybold's hair soulmate is in the band. So I can't hate on them at all. I don't know. They were alright. I mean they didn't suck... I just didn't love them.
FATA was next after we got to bump some 50 cent between sets. FATA was good. Except for the fact that the fucking chick behind me was cupping my tit the whole time. Seriously. She felt me up. I was violated!!! :[ Franny came down and screamed in Sammie's face. Sammie had a look of shock and horror. And then she laughed. Hahah. I wonder if Franny was confused by that.
Okay. GLORIOUS! GLORIOUS! Taking Back Sunday was next. The girl who won the Hustler Contest was extremely avrilXcore. She had an arm sock fashioned from like a huge grey tube sock. I did not enjoy it. I did not enjoy her screaming "ARE YOU READY TO ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" fucking 10 times. SpinGirl28, you effin SUCK. BLAH!! I should've won!!!! Okay. Anyways!! TBS comes on stage. John sees us and smiles. Because he totally recognized us. I'm really glad we ended up on John's side this time. We usually get Ed's side at the Palladium, but some stroke of fate put us on John's side. They opened with Bike Scene. I love Bike Scene. John enjoyed us singing along with him and kept smiling at us. Yay. They were really really awesomely good last night. They played 2 new songs, The Ballad, Your Own Disaster, and all of Tell All Your Friends minus Head Club. Between songs we'd yell at John to play Head Club. He'd laugh, shake is head and say "I don't know! We'll see!!". It was weird because Adam didn't actually give the mic to anyone last night. It must be because the Palladium sucks ass. Anyway! After their set, Eddie came over to our side of the stage to give everyone high fives since he couldn't give us love during the set because he was on the other side of the stage. John also came down and said he was sorry that they didn't play Head Club, and gave us consolation hugs. Which did quite make up for it.
We then headed up for merch. I bought the bag with the flowers on it. I also went back for MORE merch (and also to talk to fl0yd more because I love him deluxe). I got the binder with a fucking SWEET ass robot on it. Sammie and I told fl0yd that the next binders should have robots, pirates, ninjas, and zombies on them. He seemed to agree with us. fl0yd totally loves us. TOTALLY LOVES US. Haha.
Okay so then we went to Amy's car and look over and see a bunch of people talking to John. So we headed over to say what's up before we left. As we got closer we realized that Shaun was also out there. There was a bigger crowd talking to John, and only two chicks talking to Shaun so we decided to talk to Shaun. He's soooooo effin cute and nice. He gave us hugs even though we were gross (lol) and he had just taken a shower. In fact, my hoodie still smells a little like Shaun. AWWWW. Shaun<3. He enjoyed the Wal-Mart display that said they were HOT new artists. We got a picture with him. It was good.
John then came over and started talking to us. I love the John Nolan. He's so nice. Definitely a great guy. He also enjoyed the Wal-Mart display. And he apologized for not playing Head Club again. OH MAN. John rules. We took a picture with him and there were hugs exchanged.
Mark then came out and I yelled to him MARK!! Supermodel in Rolling Stone!!! And he was wicked excited that I had noticed him. Oh man. Mark effin rules 2003 now. I was scared of him before, but he's such a nice guy. He told us the story about the Atticus picture shoot and how he wasn't even supposed to be in that picture, but he snuck in and gave the finger. Haha. <3Eminem of TBS.
Adam came out too, but basically just went directly on the bus. I don't know if he heard us saying "ADAM!!". I hope not. Because if he did hear us, and ignored us...that would be very sad for me.
I'm nursing battlescars today. Along with the regular post-show soreness...yeah some crowd surfer definitely landed on my nose. So it's swollen a little. Hope to god I don't get a black eye from it. Eeek. But it's worth it. TBS rocks my
