I got to the Scene around 4:30pm, the show was
originally sold out but as soon as I got there we were notified that
yes The Used was not going to play but all the other bands were still
going to play[admission ONLY $5]. When I had gotten there, there was
already a line at the door. I made my way to the front of the line and began
talking to some of the people some of which had been there since 2pm.
Fastfoward about 3 hours and they finally opened the doors, I looked
behind me and there was a line all the was wrapping around the venue. I
had never seen New Transit Direction before but it seemed as if they
really had it together. The Blood Brothers rocked my socks off their energy
on the stage completely blew me away. Finally after hours of pain and
feeling like my lungs were being crushed in from the baracade, taking
back sunday was up. This was my 4th time seeing them live. They opened
with 'You know how I do', they played every song off of "Tell all!
your friends" except 'Head Club'. The whole crowd knew the lyrics but
back in January of last year when they first came to SD hardly anyone
even knew of them. Since The Used cancelled they got to play a longer
set, including The Ballad of Sal(my fav) and You own disaster! It was
amazing. When they ended their set and walked off the stage everyone
chanted for them to play one more song, they came back on stage and played
'Head Club', and wow I could have died it was so great. Overall I'd have
to say it was the best preformance I've seen them play here so far but
I could have done without the hair-pulling-nail-gouging bitches. I was
overwhelmed by the turn out of TBS fans, much much larger crowd then
back in July the last time they played at a small venue. After 'Head
Club" they all came up to us and gave us hugs. I almost cried, I didn't
want the show to end, I didn't want them to leave.
p.s. Adam and John are quite possibly the sexiest men EVER.
