Kingdom Hearts
I think we all came to our own conclusions when we heard that Disney and Squaresoft were going to team up to make a game.  Many of us figured that the game would be child's play because of Disney's involvement and others thought the game might turn out to be a complete copy of Final Fantasy.  Well, we were all surprised...especially me!
When I first started playing Kingdom Hearts, I was in awe of the superb graphics and compelling story (as seen in the Final Fantasy series).  Cameos from Final Fantasy such as Riku and Kairi show up with a makeover looking very nice indeed.  In it's core, Kingdom Hearts is an RPG with the best of both worlds:  super cool and cute Disney characters and an immersing story-line true to the makers of Final Fantasy.
As a young boy named Sora, you go on some blablabla I'm going to find myself and my friends quest and meet many characters-the good and the bad.  You travel in a Gummi Ship, (I know, I still haven't figured it out yet!!!) to a whole bunch of Disney worlds such as:  NeverLand, the Hundred Acre Wood, and even to the belly of Monstro the whale!  There, you fight off the bad guys called Heartless.  Now these guys can get pretty savage.  Sometimes they seem to come at you in the hundreds and you feel like you are simply going to die of thumb-work.
Every so often you'll encounter a big, mean boss.  These guys are tought to beat before you figure out their hit pattern.  But I'm sure you will be very happy once you do defeat them as you will get to sit for about 20 seconds and enjoy a beautiful defeat cinimatic that is very, very close to those seen in Final Fantasy.  Gameplay is good but can get tedious.  And for those of you who still think that it is a game for little kids, it's not!  I don't know of any kid 8 and under that could complete this game.  As you move on in the game, you complete small tasks for people here and there and eventually the game is finished.  But not all is lost!  There is a great story and there is also some great graphics and gameplay.  So, do I recommend it?  Sure!  Go rent it for the weekend and if you like it, buy it!
