I have owned a Game Boy Pocket and a Game Boy Color so far. Recently, my friend, Karel, lent me his GBA SP. I have to say this right now...I love this thing. It is so far ahead of what the GBC was. First of all, the other systems were portable, don't get me wrong, BUT this time around, the GBA SP is incredibly portable! Remember the old AC adapter? It was a beast to carry around! Now, the adapter is super light and the prongs even fld down so that they don't get bent. Also, the backlight on this thing is a GODSEND. I was soooo stoked when I found out that I could sit in the middle of my room at 4:00am and play this thing without a flashlight on! The GBA SP is very stylish and compact and controls feel good now that the screen flips up. It comes with a rechargable battery and you can play while recharging so that rocks my world. Graphics are really nice...better than PSone...Lmao...and the sound goes LOUD on this thing! I was amazed! But one thing concerning sound realllllllyy bugged me. There's no headphone support...like WHAT THE HELL GUYS?!?!?! My parents used to get mad when I had the volume up loud so I would go and get some headphones and continue playing happily. But this time around, I have to turn the volume all the way down...IT SUCKS. Oh well. I still think everyone should have one. As soon as Karel tells me to give his GBA SP back I'm gonna go and buy myself one...I suggest you do the same, you won't regret it. PS: when you do buy one, go buy Crash Bandicoot A-Tranced...It's good! |
