mel gibsons acting style is really not what i usually look for in a movie, but man, is he a bad-ass in this one! i almost couldnt watch near the end there when they beat the hell out of him trying to make him talk, then then starting hitting his toes one by one with a hammer ouch that guy absolutely takes a beating there and of course, he survives and outsmarts the entire "syndicate" or whatever, and walks away with his money
i think probably the main thing i like about this movie is all the cool things he says either before he kills people, or before people are about to beat him up or whatever a couple of the coolest are when the guy threatens to hit him with the hammer on the foot for the first time and asks him one last time if he will "talk"...and he says "this little piggy went to market" that was hilarious or when he asks the first guy that he shoots (the guy that originally robbed him of his $70,000) if he has a lighter, and when he says no, he says "what good are you then?" and shoots him in the head wow sometimes i guess i need to just watch a movie where you really dont have to do much "thinking", and you basically just have to kick back and watch some pissed-off guy shoot a lot of people |
