i really liked this movie im usually not into the superhero vs villian story line, but this was done in a very interesting way, and you really didnt even know it was that kind of movie until the end how early did anyone see that elijah was the "arch enemy"? i mean, thinking back...all the clues were there everything from the kids calling him Mr. Glass, to him wearing black leather gloves, having a cane then wheelchair, and having a messed up hairdo, to him constantly referring to "three disasters" when, obviously there HAD to me more than three, but he mentioned the same three the whole movie all of this, and im sure more, it seems like it should have tipped me off, but it didnt even when his mother mentioned the "arch villain, who fights the hero with his mind", i still didnt get it even though at that very scene, when i first saw elijah in his wheelchair, i thought to myself that he looked pretty scary i finally got it when he said "this is where we shake hands", but by then, i mean, i should have KNOWN that but i do like movies that i cant predict
while i do think bruce willis is a good actor, doesnt it seem like he needs to be able to show some type of emotion every once in a while? in this movie, as in all of his other movies, there will be a part that you would think he would be happy, or crying, or something...and he just has his regular "bruce willis expression" for example when he was in that closet looking at the clippings of his accidents, and his wife comes in and has a very emotional moment, and he just like, shakes his head and continues looking at the scrapbook weird and i thought samuel l jackson was amazing in this movie he had the part down absolutely perfectly and even when he was not revealed as a bad guy yet, he still was "scary" to a degree and i dont know, he just really played the part well let me know what you think... |
