Sean Sean is another of my friends I met at the game store I work at. The first time I met him was actually the first time I met Jarred. They'd both come in to buy either Warhammer or Warhammer 40,000 together. They ended up making the wise choice, by the way (40k). After that, Sean and I mostly hung out at the game store and played Warhammer 40k. I tried to get him into Vampire for quite a while, but he'd had some bad experiences in Highschool with it. I DID eventually convince him that not ALL Vampire players are a bunch of gothic wannabie, blood sucking freaks, though. He's now a player *grins* When Sean and I really became close friends, though, was when Ken (my boss) came to me and told me he was looking to hire another employee. He had Jarred, Sean, and Fred in mind. We talked about it for a matter of weeks, carefully choosing between them. I'd let both Jarred and Sean know they were being looked at, of course. Jarred ended up getting a VERY full time job (40 - 60 hours a week) that payed a LOT more per hour than Ken did. And Fred was kind of flaking out on everyone at this time. It make the choice rather easy for us, actually. Since then we've become pretty good friends, actually. We started hanging out on a regular basis, and I got to know Rachael (his Fiance`) rather well too. He got me into martial arts, and corrupted me with Poke`mon. But all is forgiven. He's been there for me when I needed him, and done everything one could ask of a friend. He and Rachael are schedualed to be married October 9th of this year. They're going to have just a small ceremony, saving the big fiasco for next year. Of course I wish them happiness and all that good stuff.
Rachael Sean's Fiance`. I met her through Sean, down at the game store. She'd drop by occasionally to yell at him, or let him know she was going to school or whatnot. We always thought she was kind of mean when she'd come in, but that was just because she was usually in a bad mood if she had to go by the store. Now that I've gotten to know her a lot better, I know she really IS a very cool, kind person. Unless she's angry *grins* Not a whole lot I can say about Rachael, though. She's a cool person, even if she DID get conspire with Sean to get me to play Poke`mon. I really feel bad for her, though. I mean, she's related to C.J. and that's enough to drive ANYONE insane. She and Sean have gone through a lot, and they've got a lot to go through before they can finally be on their own, living their own lives, not having to worry about where they'll get the money for this or the time for that. I know that they'll be happy soon, though. Maybe not REAL soon, but soon enough.
Andy Andy! He's a great guy. Another of my friends from the game store. He's a bit older than I am (26), but that doest mean much. We've gone though some fun times together, from inventing our own board game based around the game store, to making our amature horror film "Vampiric Flamingo's From Mars" Do note that there was only ONE flamingo, it wasnt a vampire, and it was NOT from Mars. He sees the potential in Cody just as I do. He's been trying to get Cody to commericially release him music for some time now. Hopefully, it'll work. As for Andy, he's a wonderful guy and I wish him nothing but the best.
Dave How could I talk about ANYTHING without bringing up Dave? He's the first person I ever met IRL that I'd first talked to online. We met him though this local chat thing called LOIS. We just kind of RANDOMLY asked if anyone played Vampire, and he perked up with "Well, I play WEREWOLF..." So we were like "YEAH!" We talked to him for a bit, then told him to call us on the phone. It rang, and this strange soudning guy who stuttered a bit was on the other end. We talked to him for about 20 minutes, then said we were going to a movie and asked if he wanted to meet us there. He did, and we've been friends ever since. Dave actually lived with us for a couple of months for a while. Dave's got a lot of problems, just like the rest of us. He's mannaged to work though them like a pro, though. He ended up moving to Texas last year, which really sucked ass. As if I wasnt down to few enough friends as it was, he had to up and leave. He's still gone, but last I heard from him he was wanting to come back. While I hope that his new life he's made for himself works out, I also would like to see him again. He's got his own page, too. Jessica Damn I've got a lot of good friends. And Jessica is right up there with the best of 'em. We met in quite an ammusing way, actually. Shelia (long story) came up to us and said something along the lines of "Hey, there's this way cool goth girl in Drama who WORSHIPS me, we've gotta start hanging out with her!" We were all just going "Just what we need, ANOTHER goth wannabie..." But in reality, nothing Shelia said was true, other than the part about needing to hang out with her. THAT was one of the best moves we've ever made. She ended up becoming one of our best friends. She's been through many trials in her life, but through it all mannaged to retain her sense of humor somehow. Lesser people would have crumbled under what she's gone through. Though Jessica and I often have differing oppinions on things like how a wayward family member should be treated, or how one should act in a given social situation (god she gets embarrased sometimes), we've been the best of friends alomst from the moment we met. She recently had to move away, and that was very hard on her. I know how it is to leave very close friends behind when you have to move to a new place, and she was getting all the symptoms. Didnt want to make new friends, didnt want to go out of the house, anything like that. But I talked to her just the other night and it sounds like she's doing rather well. Which I am infinetly glad to hear. I know she'll do well there, becuase she's too cool a person not to. |
