Si Ratu Buah

 

Manggis adalah sejenis pohon hijau abadi dari daerah tropika yang diyakini berasal dari Kepulauan Nusantara. Tumbuh hingga mencapai 7 sampai 25 meter. Buahnya juga disebut manggis, berwarna merah keunguan ketika matang. Ada pula varian yang kulitnya berwarna merah. Buah manggis dalam perdagangan dikenal sebagai "ratu buah", sebagai pasangan durian, si "raja buah". Buah ini mengandung antiinflamasi dan antioksidan. Sehingga di luar negeri buah manggis dikenal sebagai buah yang memiliki kadar antioksidan tertinggi di dunia. Manggis berkerabat dengan kokam, asam kandis dan asam gelugur, rempah bumbu dapur dari tradisi boga India dan Sumatera. Buah ini memiliki beragam manfaat, terutama bagian kulitnya. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa kulit bagian dalam manggis mengandung Xanthone. Yakni senyawa bioaktif yang berstruktur cincin enam karbon dengan kerangka karbon lengkap. Xanthone merupakan bahan aktif bersifat antikanker dan antioksidan yang sangat tinggi. Bahkan, beberapa kali lipat melebihi kekuatan vitamin C dan E. Namun sayang, belum banyak masyarakat yang mengetahui manfaatnya. Padahal, di luar negeri, kulit manggis sangat mahal.

Jenis Pendidikan

 

Jenis pendidikan adalah kelompok yang didasarkan pada kekhususan tujuan pendidikan suatu satuan pendidikan. Contohnya pendidikan umum dan pendidikan khusus. Pendidikan umum merupakan pendidikan dasar dan menengah yang mengutamakan perluasan pengetahuan yang diperlukan oleh peserta didik untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi. Bentuknya seperti sekolah dasar (SD), sekolah menengah pertama(SMP), dan sekolah menengah atas (SMA). Sedangkan pendidikan khusus merupakan penyelenggaraan pendidikan untuk peserta didik yang berkebutuhan khusus atau peserta didik yang memiliki kecerdasan luar biasa yang diselenggarakan secara inklusif atau berupa satuan pendidikan khusu pada tingkat pendidikan dasar dan menengah, dalam bentuk sekolah luar biasa (SLB).

 

Animals’ rights !

Nowadays, while many people are in favor of zoos. Campaigner Damian had claimed, “Nearly all of the animal in zoos are safe. In the zoo the receive medical attention. These animals are well cared for and are not harmed in anyway. Animals can be reproduced in zoos to help prevent extinction. And most zoos have enclosures, not cages. Plus most animals homes have been destroyed, and they do not have a place to live. And of the animal was raised in captivity, then they are well taken care of. And most enclosures are exposed to the outdoors, so they still have the taste of freedom.” However, like others claim, I believe that zoos should not exist and the animals should live in their natural habitat. There are some reason that I have why animal should not exist in the zoo.

First of all, as the habitat is most suitable for them because they can adapt well to their environment and may learn how to depend on themselves or their animal parents,rather than to depend on us as they can never learn how to survive without any help. Furthermore, they can be free and roam around the areas and experience more things rather than just to sit in a zoo.

Here are more reasons, on November 5, 2012, 1:43 pm a terrible thing happened. A three year old died that day. When he fell about 14 feet off a deck into the African painted dogs exhibit. Where the dogs then pounced on the boy and mauled him. Africa painted dogs are rare and endangered animals about the size of a German shepherd.  The dog that attacked the boy got killed that was at that zoo.

 

Another point, many zoos do not provide the good and sufficient resources or needs for the animals, thus resulting in various diseases and maybe even in death of animal’s population. This happens because zoo is business, so the less money they have the less care they can offer the animals. I read the news that the owner of the zoo fed the endangered red panda as poisoner and they died that day.

In conclusion, in my opinion is animals should not keep in the zoo 8because this make them like a prisoner, animals have rights too ! They should get to be free just like humans! They shouldn't have to be stared at all day and get fed nasty food that isn't good for them! It would be a good idea if we let them live in wild as they live a long and happy life in the wild, where they belong!
