Okay, I am sick of the immense ammount of spam I am getting on MySpace. I get 25 friend requests. 2 of them are bands I've never heard of and wil never hear of because they are one of the many faceless local bands in California and I'm over here in Oklahoma. The other 23 friend requests I get are from, tina, michelle, jenna and all their friends with nothing more on their profile than a single picture and a cheesy paragraph about how they like to hang out with friends and, oh, by the way, here's a link to see naughty pics/live webcams.

I do realize that this was bound to happen anyways. Anytime something gets big anyone who can tries to take advantage of it. However this is been a small problem for a while and in just the last few days has grown to extremely annoying levels. You'd think that Tom, who had enough brainpower to create MySpace, would have enough brainpower to put filters into his system much the same way that most e-mail clients use filters to identify messages as spam and remove them. It wouldn't be too hard to come up with criteria for filters. Most of these spam messages and profiles say the exact same thing, word for word.

So, basically I am leaving MySpace. I will keep my profile, but will no longer be posting my blogs there, messaging people or accepting friend requests.
