Conspiracy

Esther 1-5 tells of the planned genocide of the Jews by Haman due to what he considered to be disrespect by Mordecai. Mordecai, who saved the life of the king from assassins, was merely a footnote in the king's records, and the king honored Haman instead, who was apparently full of himself.

It has been noted often that God's name does not appear in the book of Esther, and in the current situation, it is hard to see how God could be present in these dark times. So it seems with our lives as well all too often. God is still there, however, and will deliver us from those who hate us, one day to be with Him forever.
