Pendulum

2 Chronicles 25-28 is about the reigns of Amaziah, Uzziah, Jotham, and Ahaz, who had different responses to God's Law. None of them was perfect, and the last on the list, Ahaz, was a complete apostate who gave himself over to idolatry. Amaziah, Uzziah, and Jotham served God more or less but had issues with either idolatry (Amaziah), disregard for the temple (Uzziah), or widespread corruption (Jotham).

None of us is perfect, either; we all have issues with our own sin. By God's grace we make it through another day, and live to serve Him better than we did yesterday.
