Cease Fire

2 Chronicles 17-24 describes a shift in foreign policy between the northern and southern kingdoms. Whereas they used to be at war with each other, now they are either fighting side by side or otherwise occupied. But this is not entirely a good thing, as it means that pagan elements from the northern kingdom make their way south.

True peace is on God's terms, and involves justice, mercy and faith. When we try to make peace with others, we should keep this in mind and not yoke ourselves together with those who delight in evil.
