1 Chronicles 23-27 lists the different positions and duties held by people in David's rule. There were priests, Levites, musicians, gatekeepers, tribal leaders, and soldiers, all of whom played a part in David's reign. Some served on a rotating basis, others served year round, but all helped to secure the kingdom and clear the path for the construction of the temple.

We all have a part to play, even if it's a small part. God has plans for His kingdom, and we are involved in those plans. Let us submit our wills to Him and trust in Him to enable us to participate in His rule.
