Family Trees

1 Chronicles 1-9 is about the family trees of the different tribes of Israel, drawing attention to the families of David and Saul. Basically it draws attention to the kings of Israel and Judah and follows them through the captivity in Babylon. The emphasis is on the unity of the twelve tribes and the surviving royal line.

It is good to remember that God has brought us where we are, and that He continues to be merciful to us. He gives us chance after chance to start again, and the opportunity to learn from our mistakes. May He be praised forever!
