Downhill

Judges 1-5 describes Israel after the death of Joshua. Now without a strong leader and without living memory of God's works for His people, the people quickly turn away from Him and start to live like the surrounding nations. But God raises up several judges to deliver His people from their oppressors, and they have peace.

We, like the children of Israel, learn faithfulness the hard way all too often.  Thanks be to God for His continued mercy toward us.  He really is a great and wonderful God.
