Unpacking

Joshua 13-21 details the land assignments given to each of the tribes, making mention especially of Judah and Ephraim, the main tribes of what would later be the southern and northern kingdoms respectively.  Also mentioned are the inheritances of Caleb and Joshua, who spied out the land 40 years earlier.

"In my Father's house there are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. (John 14:2-3 NKJV)"
