Entry for February 10, 2006
JusticeDeuteronomy 15-17 is about how to show mercy to the poor and to bondservants, the three main holidays, and principles for investigating accusations for apostasy, as well as provisions for a monarchy. God hears those who are opressed and insists that they be shown mercy; even those accused of worshiping idols are not to be put to death on the testimony of one witness. This is important to remember. Even in the New Testament, justice is paramount, and the book of James is an example of this. Let us remember to be merciful to those around us and show true justice to all. 2006-02-11 01:07:25 GMT
