Happy New Year!

I'm not big on keeping journals and logs, but I believe it's worth it to try. I also want to give those around me something of lasting value. I'm going to try to make a habit of this and put in what I believe to be important for that day.

I'm also going to try and read through the Bible, and I hope that keeping a journal will keep me from getting away from doing that.

I invite any who read this to post their own thoughts as it will keep me from thinking that I have all the answers or even the best ones, which I am tempted to do.

I started by reading Genesis 1-3.  Well known passage about the Creation and Fall.  I believe that in all of this God gets the glory.  He made the universe for Himself, and humanity for Himself.  He lets Adam and Eve choose freely for His glory, and he will also save the human race from sin for His glory.  I have a hard time believing that God was surprised that Adam and Eve chose badly, even though he warned them.  He is God, and He chose to demonstrate His love for us by saving us from our own bad choices in His mercy.
