Fast Forward

Daniel 7-12 tells events which in Daniel's time had not yet taken place. Daniel is given an expanded version of the dream that Nebuchadnezzar had and an expanded interpretation as well. Then Daniel is given specifics about the nations which will rule the Jews until Christ comes, emphasizing the events relating to Greek and Roman rule, as they had not taken place yet (Daniel lived to see Persia take over Babylon).

God is in control of historical as well as future events. That's why He can reveal them at will. Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! And let all the people say "Amen!"
