Time's up

Ezekiel 6-7 is about God bringing His judgment upon Israel, and doing so very soon. God brings disaster upon His people for their continued unfaithfulness and forces them all into a state of poverty. No one will be safe, not even the priests or the king.

The point of this is quite simple: "...they shall know that I am the LORD (Ezekiel 7:27)!" As our lives on earth are finite time is of the essence when it comes to knowing who God is. If we know God and follow Him we have His blessing, but if we don't we are left to our own devices and are destroyed by them.
