The Invitation

Isaiah 54-56 is a promise of peace and fulfillment to those who seek God. All are welcomed in and encouraged to participate in the life of God's kingdom.

What are we waiting for?

Missing the Point

Isaiah 57-59 points out Israel's hypocrisy and backsliding. The people are rebuked for empty fasting and idolatry, and finally they are shown that they need help from God alone.

Without God we go our own way and are unable to please Him. Let us rely on Him for all our needs.

Salvation for the Nations

Isaiah 60-66 describes the nations coming to God to blees Him and His people, and to warn those who do not come to God that they bring destruction upon themselves. God accepts those who are humble, and prefers them to animal sacrifices.
