The Servant

Isaiah 49-53 describes the character of God's Servant and what He will do while on earth. He is humble and does not return evil for evil, but instead welcomes suffering and endures it. He will be Israel's comfort and will establish righteousness forever. Those who reject Him will be destroyed, but those who believe in Him will be made new.

Jesus Christ is this Servant, and through Him we have both light and life. We are comforted by His presence and learn from His example. Praise the LORD for sending His Son!
