Problems at Home

In Isaiah 28-31 Jerusalem's sins are listed: trusting in Egypt, being rebellious at heart, and refusing to listen to God's messengers. In the midst of all this God still promises to return glory to Jerusalem, because He has promised to do so.

God will reign in righteousness

In Isaiah 32-35 God elaborates on His promises to His people, pouring His vengeance on Israel's enemies and bringing a peace that will last forever. This is all mentioned while Israel is surrounded by powerful adversaries who want to destroy her. God's peace will surround His people and protect them from all harm.
