Nations in trouble, part 1In Isaiah 13-18 judgment is declared against Babylon, Assyria, Philistia, Moab, Syria, Ethiopia, and the northern kingdom of Israel. The arrogance of these nations is repaid with destruction and humiliation, and they all come to know that only God is King. Nations in trouble, part 2In Isaiah 19-24 more judgment is spelled out against Egypt, Ethiopia, Babylon, Edom, Arabia, Jerusalem, Tyre, and finally the whole world. God has laid claim to all creation, including the nations, and they serve His purposes. Interlude of PraiseIn Isaiah 25-27 God is praised as the One who delivers His people and restores them. He comforts the humble and destroys the proud, which should be a reminder to us as we live our lives to seek Him from whom comes all things. 2006-05-25 01:05:12 GMT
