Beneficiaries

Genesis 28-33 is about Jacob's travel to Padan Aram. He stays with his uncle Laban and works for him for twenty years. During the course of this time Jacob gets a family and great wealth. God eventually calls him back to his homeland, but on the way, Jacob and Esau reconcile, though still living apart. Thus Jacob has abundant blessing in the midst of those who had oppressed or persecuted him, and the foundation for a new nation is laid.
