From Joyce Meyer Ministries:
"A woman was driving along a busy street and got cut off by another driver. She got mad, and was hollering and cussing and just generally having a fit. At the next stop sign, she saw the lights of a police cruiser behind her, so she pulled off to the side. The officer came up to the vehicle, tapped on the window, and when the lady rolled down the window, told her to step out of the car and keep her hands in sight.
"The officer placed the woman in handcuffs, transported her to the police station, fingerprinted and photographed her, and put her in a holding cell. Two hours later, he came to the cell, and let the woman out.
"' I want to apologize for a terrible mistake,' the officer said. 'I saw you cussing and hollering at the car that cut you off. I also saw the WWJD license plate holder, the chrome Christian fish, and the bumper sticker reading "My boss is a Jewish carpenter" on the rear of your vehicle. Because of that, I figured the car had to be stolen.'"
(This is a reasonable re-presentation of Pastor Meyer's words.)
The Cold Hard Fact here is that many "Christians" are not trying to live the life at all, but are simply going through the motions of church and appearances. You will probably meet a thousand of these people every day in the course of your routine activities. You will also probably meet one person who IS actually trying to become a better person through the words of the Bible. This person is a diamond in the rough, in the process of being polished. See if you can find the diamond today.
