If you have one more day in Korea and want to spend that day on exploring real beauty of soutern part of the nation, I recommend you Gurye. Even if you miss the festival time, with the picturesque Seomjingang River, you will be able to enjoy Gurye, all covered with sansuyu blossoms. Of course, w/ all the various hands-on-programs, performances, the festival will make your visit more memorable and enjoyable.

Nearby attraction: Also near Gurye, there is Hwagae(jangteo) market, the traditional outdoor market with long history. Another must visit is Hadong, nestled between Mt. Jirisan and the southern coast, is most breathtaking with its vast tea field. if you drive, don't miss one of the most loved drive way in the nation. The several kilometers b/t Gurye and Ssanggyesa Temple in Hadong  are paved with cherry blossom at this time of year.

In the spring, a forest of apricot trees spanning 100,000 sq. meters on the hillside of Baegun Mountain offers a picturesque scene. How about various folk performances and concerts such as samulnori (four percussion instruments) performance, a drum performance, and a dance performance based on taekwondo, a traditional Korean martial art. Also, don't forget a wedding ceremony and a spring dress fashion show.

 The Yeouido Yunjungno Cherry Blossom Festival is held every year in April, when the cherry blossoms go from first peek out to full color riot within a week. When the 1400-plus cherry trees are in spectacular full bloom, Yunjungno Avenue, located behind the National Assembly, becomes a cherry-blossom tunnel. Every evening, The cherry blossom avenue is brightly illuminated, making the place even more romantic after sunset.
Although the Lonely planet says that the best way to celebrate this festival would be eating and drinking under the blossoms, don't miss a surprising array of performances. Wouldn't it be lovely to listen to the Andean folk music under the white cherry blossom, shade?

Although he Jinhae Gunhang Festival has become one of the most famous cherry blossom events, the origin of the Jinhae Gunhang Festival goes back to 1953, when a statue of the most loved Korean Admiral Yi Sun Shin was erected at Bukwon Rotary. That's why you will encounter a parade of marchers dressed in traditional military uniforms carrying huge banners and pulling large carts in the festival along with various cultural events and performances. ^_^

When you visit the Jinhae Gunhang Festival, don't forget to take a stroll along other famous streets as well including Anmin Road, the Street of Culture, Coastal Road, and Yeojwacheon Bridge, where it was the film location for the famous 2002 TV drama "Romance", starring well-known actors Kim Jae-won and Kim Ha-neul.

Especially, Yeojwacheon Bridge, now known as Romance Bridge after the drama, is considered one of the best spot to take a picture the cherry blossoms even in Jinhae. To reach "Romance Bridge" take a right turn at the Jinhae Citizens' Hall and go straight ahead 1.5 meters. For a better view of the cherry blossoms, it's a good idea to hike up Mt. Jangbok. To get there, take a 30 minute intra-city bus ride (bus no. 105) from downtown Jinhae to the Eoeun-dong bus stop. Just follow the others. There is no way you ever get lost with more than one million tourists drawn there every year during the festival period.

->      Take Seoul Subway line 3 to Express bus terminal. Only 4stops away from Maebong st, the nearest st from Tu Casa, the guest house.  -> Take a bus headed to Masan( Cost: 18,200  /27,100/29,800 won /Travel time: 5 hrs/ interval: 20 mins) ->Get off at Masan bus terminal ->take a bus to to Jinhae-si from the opposite side. Don't take a taxi.
