Today is the day I first participated in a ball game. As a second baser, I had the resonsibility of catching groundballs and doubling up. During 2nd inning, I was able to catch two outs which was indeded a startling experience for me. Until then, I thought I could go on and keep on catching outs by myself. As the game came to third inning, however, I failed to catch a ground ball when the bases were all filled. This led to adding 3 more points for the opponents. That is when I learned that I shouldn't try to do everything by myself. If I had tossed the ball to the shortstop instead of trying to tag the runner, I wouldn't have made the very mistake. The fun in playing baseball is not in getting to the first base, but in trusting the teammates and believing in them.
