When Kurt and Courtney got married on February 23rd 1993, she thought she would become more famous than him, so she had a prenuptual agreement drawn up. In that no money would be shared if they got a divorce.
Kurt wanted a divorce from Courtney. But if he divorced Courtney she would get nothing. He had called Rosemary Carroll (both Kurt's and Courtney's atourney, saying he wanted a divorce and to get the papers together, they were supost to meet when he got back in town, but he never got there.
