Gillian Gaar (a journalist) phoned Courtney for an interview. Eric Erlandson (Hole guitarist) informed Gaar that Courtney was ill, but that he would try to arrange for an interview in the evening. He never got back to her.
This is the day that the autopsy gave as the date of death. But, there is a 24 hour give or take period. Kurt could have been dead at the time the missing persons call was placed on April 4th (by Courtney Love pretending to be Wendy O'Connor), and that the manner of his death could have already been known by the caller.
