| One fateful day, Tomeoda elementary was introduced to a new exchange student from Hong Kong, Syaoran Li. He had come to capture the Clow Cards which had accidentally been spread throughout the town by Sakura Kinomoto. Their first actual conversation with each other wasn't a very nice one. Syaoran tried forcing Sakura to give up the Clow Cards which she had already captured. From then on, Sakura was a bit jumpy around the foreign vistor. |

| Sakura soon discovered that Syaoran was attracted to her crush, Yukito(yes he was attracted to a guy. I'll explain why later). Now he was her rival for the clow cards and her romance! That didn't make Sakura or Syaoran very happy and for a long time in the series there was a lot of tension between them. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Then....Syaoran started to help Sakura with her card capturing. By the time the final judgment had come(where judge Yue decides who should be the card's master) they had become friends. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Throughout the first and second series there were a few little hints that Syoran was falling for Sakura. Like blushing around her, for example. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
