| "My Trip To Kindergarten" by Sara Montey Mother dragged me to the car as I was screaming at the top of my lungs, I dont want to go! All I could think about was how horrible today was going to be. I could picture it in my head. All the kids would be strapped down to chairs, like seatbelts, only we could hardly move at all! We would all have to look at this horrible monster called a teacher who makes us work. If we dont do what were suppose to, the ugly monster whips us. I dont know what kind of work we have to do, but I dont have very big muscles. Stop the car! I yelled in panic. I cant go to school. Im not strong enough! Mother just sighed and drove the rest of the way to Little Tigers Kindergarten. I closed my eyes as Mother led me inside to my room. I slowly opened them and, to my surprise, there were no straps on our chair. Good, I thought, now Ill be able to escape! I looked around for the giant hideous monster, but all I saw was a bunch of kids playing with blocks and drawing pictures. A pretty lady walked up to me and said, You must be Suzy Johnson! Im Mrs. Robinson, your teacher. That is the horrible monster? I thought. Shes too pretty to be a monster! I hung my coat where Mrs. Robinson showed me and sighed with relief, Maybe kindergarten wont be so bad after all. |
