| "The Light" ~Sara Montey~ I've fallen into this darkness And I have nothing to light my way. I see a light, But it is distant. Distant, but within reach. There are hills to climb And swamps to cross To get to this light. It gives me that warm, tingly feeling. I once knew this light But somehow I fell away from it, I detached myself from it. I stumbled down a long, dangerous path; I caught myself once or twice And started climbing back toward the light But I would slip once again And fall flat on my face. I gave up on that light for awhile Turned my back to it. But I'm tired of living in this darkness And I miss the light in my days. So I turn and face the light I once knew And head back in the path. It won't be an easy journey, But I'll have my God to light the way. |
