| "The Knife" ~Sara Montey~ The knife glistens from the sun And it catches my eye I see my reflection As it nears my face I close my eyes I feel the sweet metal Brush against my leg Tears are streaming from my eyes I'm scared I don't know what to do The knife slowly slides Across my flesh I can feel my skin Being separated The thick blood Creeps into the open air And drips down my quivering body I feel so relieved To have alleviated my fears Washed them away With my own blood My heart pumped And pushed the fear Out of my body The sharp blade Has helped my live I look at the knife Dripping with my blood And I smile It's helped me Get through a lot I plce the blade Into my drawer Until I need it To get me through Another nightmare |
